This was originally written in 2019 in a hotel room in Alexandria, VA. My former partner and I, Atlas, his former partner, Shubzilla and Bill Beats were all in a hotel room for MAGFest 2019. We were planning Room Service 2, but didn't have time to make it like we had with Room Service 1 in 2018. So, we tabled the project.

2019 was a plummet and then a skyrocket for me, so I started 2020 at MAGfest under similar circumstances. I simply refined "RS2" lyrically, and we planned to work on "Room Service 2" as we hit various conventions for which one or more of us was booked. Unfortunately, COVID had something to say about that.

"RS2" celebrates the fact that I was beginning to see tangible fruit from my grind, 2+ years into quitting my financial tech trajectory to do music full time. It also celebrates the fact that my partner was rocking with me heavily, despite the stress of many of the things we were dealing with. I was sure I'd spend the rest of my days with her, and I wanted to pay her some praise on this song.
