I wrote this just before moving out. At that time, I was in full blown "content rap" mode. That's how I started, and a few months of testing had led me to believe I should jump back in.

I wanted to write a Gearless Joe ("Megalobox") rap, because I knew I'd have a lot to say with regard to the character, who finds a way to win despite all the odds being stacked against him. This song, from the instrumental, to the lyrics, to the final mixdown of the recording, all happened extremely quickly.
